You're right about "The Informant!". At the very least, it should have had a nomination for the score...

Yikes, they really jumped down your throat over at Salon.
I think you're right on the money regarding THE INFORMANT! (and R. Hunt's dead-on about Hamlisch's score, too).
But this is coming from a guy who thinks DISTRICT 9 is utterly worthless.

Politics is very much the issue with Polanski. In fact I'd go so far as to say The Ghost Writer is my favoirte documentary of 2010. It's ALL true. Tony is Cherie's hand puppet. She's a CIA agent. This is FACT.
Polanski who has faced horros none of us can so much as imagine is in top form. This is the best film ever edited in a jail cell.
The happy ending: Steve Cooley, Republican bottom-feeder, put his entire bid for re-r;lection as L.A. District Attorney on being able to bring back Roman's head. He didn't get it.
And he was voted out of office!
