| Tallying votes late at night while struggling to crank out another NYFF review is a bad idea. If my ability to count to 13 (12 quizzes + 1 bonus point) is still intact, then it looks like we have a clear set of winners! First and second place go to Will P. and Dominic T. who both racked up a perfect score of 13. Nicely done, gentlemen! There's a two-way tie for 3rd place, and though a tiebreaker is in order, I simply can't be bothered at this late hour. So, congratulations to Corbett B. and newcomer Erin S., whose weekly emails are an absolute joy to read. Any DVD used in this round is yours for the asking. Thanks to the many of you who played -- be sure to check back next week for the start of Round 10. Update: Oops...forgot to mention that last week's quiz was none other than McCloud himself, Dennis Weaver, as the night man of the Mirador Motel in Orson Welles' Touch of Evil. |

Well, for those of us playing along at home (or those of us that missed two weeks while on vacation and decided to bag this round), what was last week's film? I'm guessing TOUCH OF EVIL?

I would like to extend an invitation to you to join in on a collective blogging section of our upcoming winter issue of Reconstruction. The issue is the “Theories/Practices of Blogging.” In addition to the special section of posts on blogging there will be about a dozen essays on blogging.
The deadline is October 20th.
Our intent in this section of the issue will be to collect a wide range of bloggers and link up to their statements in regards to why they blog (something many of us are asked) and any statement they have on the theories/practices of blogging.
If you already have a post on this you can feel free to use it, or, if you are interested, you can submit a new one.
We will link to each statement from the issue at our site, with the intent of creating a hyperlinked list of statements on blogging that can serve as an introduction to blogging (or an expansion of knowledge for those already blogging).
If you are interested please contact me at mdbento @ gmail.com
