| George Clooney should be pleased to know that he is as recognizable from behind as he is from the front. There were a record number of correct entries last week, but what really gave Filmbrain a warm fuzzy was that almost every one of them had a brief comment along the lines of "great film", "underrated film", "underappreciated, misunderstood film", etc. Though normally down on remakes, Filmbrain believes Soderbergh's reworking of Solaris was not an attempt to repeat or outdo Tarkovsky, but rather to create something very much his own, and the end result is a beautiful, heartbreaking 99 minutes. Though it was a box-office disaster, it seems to have its share of adoring fans, gauging by your comments. Filmbrain has been running on fumes lately, and if he doesn't get some proper sleep (and soon!) he might just totally collapse, or even worse, start watching Rob Schneider movies. This explains the less-than-imaginative capture this week -- though this might very well be the least recognizable moment in the film, or so Filmbrain hopes. Send your answers to this address. Good luck! |

What Ron Howard film was Lindsay Lohan in? I don't see anything listed on IMDB.

I feel your pain, Filmbrain.

I think she plays the Marilyn Monroe part in Ron Howard's remake of Hawks's "Monkey Business". That's Hugh Marlowe on the right, before the Mohawk.

That sure looks like Jessica Stevenson.
